Stranger Things 4
Promotional Weekend
Netflix
Challenge
With Stranger Things 4 positioned as one of Netflix’s most high-profile releases, the studio set an unprecedented goal: capture all promotional content—across departments, formats, and platforms—in a single weekend. That meant aligning stills, social, EPK, and press assets around a fast-moving cast, each with limited availability and massive fan demand.
Solution
Evolution was brought in to lead the on-the-ground execution and creative infrastructure for the entire promotional weekend. We served as the connective tissue across Netflix’s internal teams—managing scheduling, communication, and production coordination across consumer marketing, AV, photo, and press. Operating across three Hollywood stages, we oversaw the primary EPK units, supported still photography, and coordinated efforts between multiple Netflix departments and third-party crews. With just one day of prep, we built a fully functional, multi-departmental system capable of supporting over 200 people per day. Our role extended beyond production—we helped engineer the operational backbone that kept everything moving, on message, and on schedule.
Result
The content captured fueled a global campaign that helped launch Stranger Things 4—which became Netflix’s most-watched English-language season premiere at the time, with over a billion hours streamed. Evolution’s leadership across production and departmental strategy helped deliver one of the most complex, compressed promotional efforts in the platform’s history.
