Ubisoft needed a compelling promo to help launch Rocksmith+, its next-gen guitar-learning platform. The goal was to create a spot that would resonate emotionally with beginners and enthusiasts alike—showcasing the versatility of the product—while navigating major constraints in timeline, location, and budget.
Solution
In collaboration with The Refinery, Evolution reimagined a single residential location as three distinct, stylized environments—each representing a different user’s journey. Our team redesigned rooms, adjusted layouts, and used lighting and Steadicam movement to create a warm, cinematic tone that reflected the joy and personal growth tied to learning music. The haze-filled air added visual texture and helped unify the piece aesthetically. We shaped the narrative, visual tone, and pacing to position Rocksmith+ as both a serious learning tool and an approachable gateway for new players.
Result
The piece launched on the Rocksmith+ website and Ubisoft’s YouTube channel as part of the broader campaign rollout. It helped position the platform as a flexible, inspiring tool for a wide range of players and reinforced Ubisoft’s push to redefine what structured, gamified music learning could look like.
